I’m Fatimetou, the founder and manager behind K.BOX.

So how did this little corner of the internet come to life?

Like many others, I discovered K-dramas and K-pop during the lockdown days of COVID. That curiosity led me to explore more about Korean culture : its beauty rituals, skincare philosophies, and innovative approach to self-care. Along the way, I developed a deep appreciation for Korean skincare: a system that values gentle, effective formulas backed by thoughtful ingredients and real results.

At the time, I was dealing with skin concerns that nothing seemed to solve : everything I tried either irritated my skin or stopped working after a few weeks. Korean skincare introduced me to something different: products that were kind, balanced, and formulated with intention. And they worked. My skin began to heal and thrive.

But accessing those products wasn’t easy. I often had to order them from international websites with high shipping fees and long delivery times. That experience made me realize how important it is to have access to authentic, trusted products locally. And that's one of the key reasons I created K.BOX. To bring quality Korean skincare to Mauritania in a way that feels accessible, reliable, and curated with care.

You might also notice something different about K.BOX: we specialize only in Korean skincare. Unlike other shops that offer a mix of international brands, we focus solely on K-beauty. That’s because it’s the only skincare I personally use, the only one I’ve thoroughly researched, and the only one I truly understand and believe in. I don’t believe in selling things I’m not passionate about or wouldn’t use myself.

K.BOX began with other passions too : books and baking will always be part of my entrepreneurial journey, as they are very dear to my heart. But in 2024, I turned my long-time vision into reality and dedicated myself to building a space where people could discover skincare that really works.

Every product you find here has been carefully selected, tested to the best of my ability, and chosen with intention. Whether you’ve been with me from the beginning, or you’re just getting to know us : thank you. My goal is simple: to help you feel good in your skin, with products that support you every step of the way.

Because K.BOX isn’t just a skincare shop, it’s a space built on trust, knowledge, and the belief that everyone deserves access to skincare that’s effective, honest, and beautifully made.
